There are facilities such as “kindergartens” and “day care centers” to look after children until they start school. Children up to 3 years of age can also be looked after by trained “child minders”. The Frauenberatungsstelle (Women's Counseling Center) provides advice and consultation on häusliche Gewalt (domestic violence) and offers support to the women affected.
